Experience an unforgettable evening filled with joy, connection, and creativity as West Windsor Arts commemorates Black History Month. Join our community in embracing the spirit of unity and community through an engaging Game Night while immersing yourself in the powerful art exhibition, “Manifesting Beloved Community.”

This event is made possible through partnerships with Art Against Racism and the African American Parent Support Group of West Windsor–Plainsboro.

At Game Night, discover the rich tapestry of games cherished by Black communities as we gather for a night of friendly competition and laughter. Whether you’re a seasoned player or a newcomer, there’s a game for everyone:

  • Bid Whist Championship: Engage in the excitement of this classic card game, a staple in Black communities for generations.
  • Spades Tournament: Hone your card skills and team up for the ultimate Spades showdown.
  • Dominoes Extravaganza: Experience the thrill of strategic moves and quick thinking in a spirited game of dominoes.
  • African and Afro-Caribbean Board Games: Immerse yourself in the diverse world of traditional and contemporary board games from Africa and the Afro-Caribbean diaspora.

Step into the realm of artistic expression with our thought-provoking art exhibition, “Manifesting Beloved Community.” Featuring works by talented artists, this exhibit explores the concept of creating or living in a society designed around social and economic justice beyond the constraints of structural racism. Inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s vision of “Beloved Community,” this exhibition represents a global aspiration where all individuals share in the prosperity of a healed planet.
