The Township of Plainsboro will be hosting a National Kids to Park Day event in Plainsboro, NJ, on May 20th. This is a day dedicated to encouraging kids and families to get outside and enjoy the great outdoors.

Hundreds of thousands of children nationwide will take part in a grassroots movement to discover America’s parks through play on May 20, to commemorate National Park Trust’s Annual Kids to Parks Day! Join local families at the Plainsboro Preserve for a fun-filled morning learning about animals and pollinators, sampling some Preserve honey, planting some seeds, going for a hike, and much more.

National Kids to Park Day is a great opportunity to introduce children to the joys of nature and outdoor play. Research has shown that spending time in nature can improve children’s physical and mental health, as well as their academic performance and social skills.

So, mark your calendars and come out to celebrate our parks on May 20th for a day of fun, sun, and outdoor play. Let’s celebrate the great outdoors and all the wonderful benefits it has to offer!
