WWPBA visits liberty Martial Arts

The West Windsor Bicycle and Pedestrian Alliance (WWBPA)’s recent visit to Liberty Martial Arts (LMA) to educate and empower the community about nighttime safety. Over the course of two nights, Steve and Sylvia from WWBPA engaged with students and shared invaluable insights on enhancing visibility during nighttime activities.

WWBPA sold reflective items strategically designed to enhance visibility and safety, particularly for children. Additionally, students had the opportunity to participate in a fun-filled activity by spinning the wheel to win exciting prizes, adding an element of excitement to the educational experience. The initiative not only raised awareness but also provided practical solutions to ensure the safety of pedestrians and cyclists, especially in low-light conditions.

A heartfelt thank you goes to Shreya Karnam, a Black Belt and Instructor at Liberty Martial Arts, for spearheading the organization of this event. Shreya’s dedication to community engagement and safety is truly commendable, and her efforts, along with those of WWBPA, undoubtedly contribute to making our neighborhoods safer and more inclusive for all.

As Shreya also holds the title of Mercer County’s Woman of Achievement, her involvement underscores the importance of community leaders coming together to effect positive change. This collaborative effort serves as a shining example of how grassroots initiatives can make a significant impact on enhancing public safety and fostering a sense of unity within our West Windsor community. Thank you to Shreya and the West Windsor Bicycle and Pedestrian Alliance for your visit to LMA!
